Happy New Year?
Okay ladies, lets do some man bashing.
I love my husband, I really do, but sometimes I could just punch him in the face! For some reason, he has this problem of staying home. He has to go go go. It is quite annoying actually especially since we have a soon to be 2 year old running through the house with "choo-choo trains" all over the place. My son is literally in choo-choo train heaven, but anyway.
So it's New Year's Eve. Here I am with a bad head cold and so does the toddler, and my husband is wanting me to dump the kid off at my mom's house for the night so that we can go to his best friends house for a party. That's all fine and dandy if I was feeling up to it, and if we were single. Now that I have a child, I have this thing going on that I have to be with my child! I had mixed feelings about leaving him on New Year's Eve. I thought that maybe we could have our own family event and have fun.
So I decided that I am staying home with Wyatt, and make chicken stew, my special meaty cheesy nacho dip, party hats, and noise makers. So what if Wyatt will go to sleep at 9:30 as usual? My husband and I could then have our own special New Year event....
But, he decides to go over to his buddy's house. So I think "ok, he'll be there for a couple of hours, but he'll come back soon". Boy, was I wrong. The longer I waited on him to come home, the more furious I got. He finally rolls in like 5 minutes before the ball drops. Tries to give me a kiss, but I'm too mad to speak to him, and then he leaves to go back to his buddy's house. What is up with that? This is not like it is the first time that he has ever done anything like this before.
I trust my husband. I just really believe that he doesn't have the common sense to realize what he's doing is really wrong. I'm so mad, but he doesn't seem to care. AND doesn't even try to tell me he's sorry. He just thinks that this will blow over and everything will be ok. Well, he has another thing coming to him. I am not going to let him live this down. I will just have to refer to my Bitch 101 book and set him straight.
I really don't know what to do about this. You would think that he would be better than this considering that if I kicked his ass out he'd have to move back in with daddy dearest. It's sad but he couldn't make it on his own. Maybe he never grew up and I married a big kid.
It just blows my mind.
This is a partnership, I have to try to work this out.
On a better note.... Wyatt and I had a blast together and brought in the New Year with Nina and Star and the rest of the Sprout team on the Sprout Network. We pigged out on all the good food, and sparkling grape juices.
I'm going to train Wyatt to be an outstanding man!
