Another Little Miracle
Our little family is being blessed with another little miracle. Yes, those are baby rattles and baby cries in the near future. I'm 12 weeks along now. This pregnancy started out kind of rough. Around 8 weeks I developed a lovely case of hyperemesis which absolutely sucks. Hanging my head over the toilet all day is not my idea of a fun time. So after 2 weeks of misery I wound up having to go to the doctor's office to get fluids and some IV medications. I felt so much better after this. It actually felt so good to be able to eat something that night without losing it. It was heaven. So since then I have remained on this particular medication regime that has helped tremendously. Yesterday was the first day in a couple of weeks that I threw up. Yes, yesterday was a rough day, and I still have some rough days but I think that it's getting better.
Tomorrow I go for my first ultrasound. I will actually get to see what this little creature kind of looks like or at least I will know for sure that there is an actual baby in there and I haven't been sick for a no good reason.
When I told Wyatt about the baby he was so excited. He was ready to have it now. He thinks that the baby is taking too long in my tummy. He's been keen on the idea of having a little baby for some time now. A few months ago, he saw an infant in a carrier at McDonald's, and got so excited to see a baby. He asked me if we could have that baby. LOL I had to tell him 'no'' and he was saddened by that. Too sweet. So when I told him that we going to have a baby now, he immediately remembered this infant from McDonald's and asked if we were getting the baby from there. I was surprised that he remembered this, but he did. Kids are definitely something else!
Wyatt is going to make such a great big brother. He says that he's going to help feed the baby, and dress the baby, and most importantly of all he's going to help play with the baby. :) Wyatt is such a blessing to us all. I can't wait to see what this new little life is going to be like.
Right now I'm just wishing that I wasn't sick at all. Hopefully this will end soon since they say it usually does after the first trimester. Maybe around 14-16 weeks. So that gives me another couple of weeks.
