Happy Birthday WYATT!
On Saturday, Wyatt turned 3 years old. I can hardly believe that it has been that long since he was just a newborn swaddled in my arms. 3 years sure do fly by too fast!
Wyatt had a great birthday. While we were on our routine shopping day, one day last week, we passed by the bakery in the store. Wyatt got all excited and wanted to look at this cakes. Why not, I thought. I had been contemplating on where and when I should get his cake and this opportunity arose. We looked through all of the books at all of the different birthday cakes. He had had his heart set on a Spider-Man birthday cake since the summer and was still adamant in getting one for his birthday. He found a Spider-Man cake that he loved and wanted it. So I ordered it and set up a time to get it on Saturday. During all of this Wyatt was singing Spider-Man's theme song.
When we started to leave Wyatt's face changed into this face of shock and hurt! He thought that we were getting the cake today and he was heart broken. It broke my heart too to see him sad. I explained to him that they had to make his cake especially for him and it wasn't ready for us to bring it home, but it would be ready on his birthday. This calmed him some but then he decided he wanted the Avenger's cake that he saw in the display thinking that since it was done he could take it home today. LOL Smart boy! But after much discussion he decided that it was okay to have the Spider-Man cake at a later time.
We didn't throw a huge party for him. Just family. Aunts & Uncles, cousins, Granny & Pops, Nannie & Papa... Wyatt couldn't wait for Lila to get here that day. That's all he talked about until she finally arrived. Lila is his cousin who is the same age as him. They have always been like two peas in a pod.
The sun finally came out that day, and the kiddos got to run around out side. Wyatt loved running around in his Spider-Man costume!
Once everyone got here Wyatt decided we should have cake first before pizza - hey life is short, eat cake!
What an awesome day surrounded by everyone we love and who love us! I couldn't have asked for a better birthday for my special little boy! :) I love seeing him happy!

The Spider-Man:
I'm so in love with my Spider-Man! <3
We finished off Wyatt's Birthday weekend with a dinner at Chilies. I had the waitresses come and sing to him. Oh how he LOVED having all of those young pretty girls sing to him and make over him! Plus they brought him a sundae which made it all even better!
I'm so proud of my little man and I couldn't imagine life without him. I enjoy watching and helping him grow each and every day!
