Sticker Mania
This past weekend was a wonderful weekend at work. Yeah. Right. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but I'd rather be playing with Wyatt instead. Yeah, yeah, you may say, "But you work from home!". This is true, but weekends are super busy and I have little time to pay attention to my preschooler who in return doesn't quite understand why mommy can't play. Lately he's been telling me that he doesn't want mommy to work. Well, sweat heart. I wish I didn't either, and could give you my undivided attention all of the time. But this is reality.
Sometimes while I answer phones calls, he likes to help me write down things that people tell me which it written in his own language. It would be more helpful if I knew how to read it, but I love looking back and seeing all of his drawings in my notebook. He's such a helpful boy.
Other times he tries to entertain me by dancing around or showing me all of his books. Where's the hubs you my wonder? Off in his own little world of snoring on the couch or watching TV. Of course he doesn't do anything productive unless I'm snapping that whip every few seconds.
This past Sunday, while I was making my calls, Wyatt had found a page full of stickers. Oh!! Stickers!! Stickers are one of his favorite things. I try to get him to put his sticker in a keepsake notebook, but that doesn't last long. His favorite place to put stickers is on himself! Take a look at his sticker masterpiece!
He just thinks it's grand! Then he tells me that I need some sticker too, but I insist that they look better on him than they do mommy. It doesn't take long to convince him since he wants all of the stickers to himself anyway. He was just being polite. :)
He especially loves the one on his nose!
After he's all sticker-ed up he decides that it will be fun to run through the house and let the stickers fall off of him. It's been two days now and I am still finding stickers in the most random places. Sometimes it's like that have a homing device in them. You think you're walking across a clean floor, then all of a sudden you have stickers all over the bottom of your feet. But I love it and wouldn't change anything about it.
Then after the sticker event, it's time for him to show me how to play Angry Birds Star Sars. I'll tell you. This kid is addicted to some Angry Birds!! And he's pretty good at it for a 2 year old soon to be 3.
And in case you are wondering.... Yes we are lazy on days mommy has to work. Sometimes I work while still in bed just because this can be the most quietest place in the house, and I hate getting up early.
There's never a dull moment when Wyatt is around! This week coming up is his birthday! We'll have to see what is in store for this special occasion!
